Our story

It started with one question:
How would my family get out?

In 2013, contractor Glen Dauman watched his son Alex, a volunteer firefighter, take part in a basement fire training exercise. Seeing how difficult escape could become prompted a question about safety in his own home.

Glen and Alex began exploring emergency escape and rescue systems. That work became Egress Pros, a family business focused on helping homeowners create a usable way out of their basements.

That purpose still guides the work

Our Connecticut team brings that safety focus to window installations, basement entrances, and related improvements. We want homeowners to understand their options and feel comfortable operating the finished system.
